I believe we are all searching for balance in our lives. Whether it’s finding the energy to get through our day with ease, or physically living without pain or discomfort, massage therapy can help restore that balance. I treat each person as an individual, listen to their goals and expectations, and create a session to fit the client. I make each experience unique by combining different massage and bodywork techniques.
Deep Tissue Massage or Myofascial Release, opens up constricted muscles and connective tissue which improves posture and relieves pain. Swedish Massage relaxes the body and improves circulation. Lighter, energetic work such as Reiki and Shiatsu works to restore the energy of the body. I generally use a combination of these techniques with the goal of bringing the body back to balance and comfort.
I graduated from the Swedish Institute College of Health Sciences and have been a New York State Licensed Massage Therapist since 2004. I have worked extensively in spas and wellness centers focusing on Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue and Sports Massage.
I also have a background in energetic healing. I spent 10 years in San Francisco where I first explored alternative healing therapies, including massage and meditation. My meditation practice led me to complete a two year program at Psychic Horizons, a school for meditation and healing. At Psychic Horizons I learned the tools to develop my energetic connection to myself and others. My intuitive skills help me listen to the body to unlock physical tension and blocked energy. I deepened my energetic healing abilities by studying Reiki, and becoming a Reiki Master. I now combine my massage and energetic work in my private practice.
I have been working with energy all my life as an actress and singer. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama from the University of California at Irvine and have been a member of Actors’ Equity, the Union for Professional Actors and Stage Managers, since 1992.
